The Surrounding Area

We are just under 3 miles from the village of Much Marcle where the Historic house of Hellens manor is located. Close by there is Westons Visitor Centre and also a country pub in the village. Eastnor Castle (with it's Land Rover Experience), Symonds Yat and the Malvern Hills are a short drive or cycle away. Outdoor activities in abundance can be found in the Forest of Dean, including canoeing, climbing, fishing, golf, horse riding and cycling. For children, there is the Wye Valley Visitor Centre , with its maze, butterfly zoo, miniature golf and laser tag and the Birds of Prey Centre at Newent. There is a great outdoor children's area at Weston's visitor Centre I often find Grandparents minding children in the outdoor park whilst parents are on the Cider tour! Hereford, Malvern, Gloucester and Regency Cheltenham with its racecourse are all within easy driving distance.

We are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out. There are plenty of local pubs, but if you're looking for something extra special try The Kilcott Inn Newent, Verzon House Nr Ledbury, The Feathers Ledbury, The Inn at Welland or The Butchers Arms at Elderfield to name just a few.

If you're looking for some retail therapy try Gloucester Quays, or if you'd rather take in a show there are theatres in Malvern, Cheltenham, Ledbury and Worcester.
